 % document so that it complies with the rules of margins and spacing

 % There is a file called uithesis.sty which is widely distributed and
 % which you can use as a style file for a thesis.  The problem I had with
 % uithesis.sty was that it did not work with LaTeX2e.  That is, if I
 % had a "documentclass" command at the top of my file, then LaTeX would not
 % work with the uithesis.sty file.

 % modifications so that it now works with LaTeX2e, that is, with the
