Installation

  1. Download the VMware Horizon Client.  Under the "VMware Horizon Client for Mac" click the "GO TO DOWNLOADS" link

  2. Click the "Download now" link

  3. Once the download completes, double click downloaded installer and install it (admin password to your PC will be required)..

  4. Once the installation completes, start the VMWare Horizon Client

Configuration

  1. Enter the name of the connection server as vdi-clas.iowa.uiowa.edu

  2. Type in your HawkID for the User name: and your Hawkid password for the "passcode", and click Login to launch a VM:

  3. Type the word "push", "sms" or "enter passcode" in the box for "Next Token Code.  To use the DUO push app on your phone, type "push". IF YOU GET AN ACCESS DENIED ERROR, you need to enroll in DUO 2 factor here .

  4. Double-click on the vdi-clas.uiowa.edu connection to relaunch the VM at a later time:
